Kwaku Owusu Baah is the current Director of Economic Studies of the Inter-African Coffee Organization. As the director, he liaises with National Coffee Boards in Africa to develop and implement projects aimed at developing the coffee industry in Africa. Between 2002 and 2006, he was the Chief Director (Permanent Secretary) of Ghana’s Ministry of Food and Agriculture. In this position, he was both the Technical and Administrative Head of the Ministry with additional responsibility as the Chief Advisor to the Honorable Minister of Food and Agriculture. Prior to this, between 1984 and 1996, he was assistant lecturer and senior lecturer in the Agricultural Economics Department of the University of Ghana. He was trained as an Agricultural Economist at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada, 1984. During his professional career, he has also consulted widely for bilateral and multilateral Organizations, including Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), World Bank, UNDP, International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the World Food Program (WFP), among others.
