Beginning in 2011 an award will be given to the best paper presented at the Annual Economic Conference, and not previously presented or published elsewhere, by an African researcher who should be under 40 years of age at the time of the Conference. The criteria for the award are:
- Relevance to economic development policy at country or regional level in Africa,
- Originality in methodology and/or empirical application
- Clarity and innovation of presentation. If you wish to have your paper considered for the African Economic Conference Award, you should indicate this in the submission of your abstract.
The winner of the award will be announced at the closing plenary session of the conference.
