Mr. James S. Henry

Mr. Henry is  a  leading  economist,  attorney,  and  investigative  journalist  who  has  written extensively on tax justice, financial secrecy, "demogarchy," and development finance. 

He held senior positions at McKinsey & Co., IBM/Lotus Development, GE, and Monitor Company. He is founder and Managing Director of Sag Harbor Group, a Senior Fellow at Columbia University’s Center  for  Sustainable  Investment,  a  Global  Justice  Fellow  at  Yale University,  and  a  Senior Advisor  to  the  Tax  Justice  Network.

His  work on  tax  havens,  debt  and  capital  flight  has  been published in several books, including Global Tax Fairness (Oxford U, January 2016), A Game As Old As Empire (Barrett Koehler, 2007), The Blood Bankers: Tales from the Global Underground Economy (Four Walls Eight Windows 2005), Banqueros y Llavadolares (Tercer Mundo, 1995), and Pirate Bankers (Columbia University Press, in process).

His articles have appeared in leading newspapers,  including New  York  Times,  Washington  Post,  Wall  Street  Journal, Business  Week, and Financial Times.
