The diverse panels will explore the various sub-themes underpinning sustainable development with a view to outline practical considerations for the African context.

A series of roundtable discussions and side-events are scheduled to take place at the Africa Pavilion between 28th November and 7th December, 2011, culminating in a high-level one-day event, ‘Africa Day’ on 8th December. 

Africa Day will create the platform where the nexus between climate change policy, research, practice, and development will be discussed. 

This platform will provide African decision-makers the opportunity to advocate for the key messages emanating from the event, with a particular focus on the opportunities for a meaningful outcome at the COP 17 around the key issues that are important for Africa.
