2005 - Swaziland - Country Governance Profile
In 1999, the African Development Bank adopted a good governance policy with an aim to provide support and interventions that promote good governance in its Regional Member Countries (RMCs). This is because good governance is generally a necessary condition for the success of the Bank’s core interventions to promote economic and social development in RMCs. The Bank Group’s strategic plan for the period 2003-2007 also emphasizes the promotion of good governance in RMCs as one of the important building blocks of the poverty reduction programme.
