2007-2010 - Zambia - Joint Assistance Strategy
The Government of the Republic of Zambia launched its Fifth National Development Plan 2006 – 2010 (FNDP) and the National Vision 2030 in January 2007. The two documents constitute the Government’s medium and long term development agenda, with the FNDP representing the first building block for achieving the Vision’s objectives. The FNDP’s theme is “Broad Based Wealth and Job Creation through Citizenry Participation and Technological Advancement”, while its strategic focus is “Economic Infrastructure and Human Resources Development” It estimates a total financial requirement of about US 14.9 billion in the next five year, financed predominantly from domestic resources.
