Backlog in the Preparation of Project Completion Reports (PCRs)
The backlog in the production of Project Completion Reports (PCRs), as pointed out in the Task Force’s report on the quality of African Development Bank projects (April 1994) reached 430 projects and programmes as at 31/12/1993 (out of the 630 completed), that is to say a PCR coverage rate of 31.7 %. Board decisions were taken for the application of the Working Group’s recommendation according to which « The preparation of Completion Reports had to be updated by end 1997. Considering the volume of work implied, the lack of data and the limited value of old projects, the Task Force proposes that all projects implemented after 1982 be treated in a Completion Report and that the projects implemented before that date not be considered.
