Brochure - Innovative financing towards more efficient and effective systems across Africa

Education in Africa is being shaped by several forces – and a huge demographic shift towards a younger population is a notable one. Africa’s rising youth population is set to reach more than one billion by 2050. The continent has made great strides in providing learning access to its children and skills for its youthful population. Despite these gains, Africa still has the largest proportion of children who do not attend primary school, the smallest proportion of its population completing secondary schools, and the largest challenges financing mass higher education of any region of the world (UNESCO 2015).
