Efficacy and Efficiency of Monitoring-Evaluation Systems (MES) for Projects Financed by the Bank Group
This report focuses on the study of the efficacy and efficiency of monitoring - evaluation systems in a sample of Bank Group financed projects/programmes. The study is in line with the strengthening of the Bank’s operational capacities so as to improve the effectiveness of its operations and contribute to the institutional development of regional member countries’ local and national monitoring-evaluation capacities.
Bank missions were undertaken to Burkina Faso, Mauritania, Kenya, Rwanda and Mozambique. The missions made it possible to evaluate the efficacy, efficiency and sustainability of the monitoring-evaluation systems introduced and to draw relevant conclusions and lessons from the experience.
