EOI – Junior Consultant - Office of Vice President Finance and CFO


Established in 1964, the African Development Bank (AfDB) is the premier pan-African development institution supporting the economic growth and social progress of Africa. The AfDB’s pursues its mandate of aiding the socio-economic development of Africa by mobilising resources in and outside Africa for the purposes of financing development projects and programs in Africa, including technical assistance and knowledge services. The AfDB has a total of 80 member countries, comprising 54 African and 24 non-African countries. The AfDB has recently embarked on a program to scale up and accelerate development in Africa. The program, called the High 5s, focuses on five priority areas within the AFDB’s existing Ten-year Strategy, as follows: Light up and power Africa; Feed Africa; Industrialize Africa; Integrate Africa and Improve the quality of life of the people of Africa. This program will require astute financial and risk management of the AfDB and also an ability to innovate to support a rapidly expanding and evolving institution. The Vice President and CFO is expected to play a key leadership role in the implementation of the High 5 agenda.The African Development Bank is rated triple-A by all major ratings agencies.
