Eritrea - Interim Country Strategy Paper (I-CSP) 2014-2016 - 11 2014

14-Nov-2014

The preparation of the Interim Country Strategy Paper (I-CSP) for Eritrea is informed by the context analysis, assessment of the country’s strength, weaknesses, opportunities and consultation with key stakeholders. The strategy is aligned with the Government of State of Eritrea (GoSE) priority and the Bank’s Ten Year Strategy 2013-2022. The Government maintains its focus on the three main areas of human resource development, food security, and infrastructure development. The strategy has one pillar: Enhancement of Skills Development and Technology, in support of Inclusiveness and Transition to Green Growth. In addition, the Bank will support the GoSE to build resilience and capacity to deal with, and adapt to a challenging environment to promote inclusive growth and poverty reduction. It will also scale up advisory services through economic and sector work as well as assist in creating capacity and conditions necessary for the finalisation and implementation of the National Development Plan (NDP) as well as preparation of a fullfledged CSP.
