Mozambique - Niassa Provincial Towns Water Supply and Sanitation Project - Project Completion Report


The project was aligned with Mozambique’s plans for poverty reduction and economic growth namely, the Five Year Program (2005-2009) and the second generation of Action Plan for the Reduction of Absolute Poverty, (PARPA II), for the period 2006-2009. The PARPA II, a successor to PARPA I, had three pillars: governance, human capital, and economic development. Pillar 3 –Economic Development is centered on the basic conditions for pursuing productive activity including,inter alia: increased access to water and sanitation; and (iv) improve private sector business environment.
