Rwanda - Evaluation of Bank Assistance 1994-2002
This report evaluates Bank Group assistance to Rwanda since the genocide of 1994, which constitutes a breaking point in the country’s history, until 2002. This evaluation was made countrywide and focused on the relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impact on institutional development and sustainability of the assistance programmes. The evaluation of strategies and results was made in relation to the country’s important reconstruction and development challenges. This study guides us to draw conclusions, learn lessons and make recommendations to enhance the impact of Bank assistance strategies on development in member countries.
