Zambia - Resettlement Action Plan Chinsali Nakonde Road Rehabilitation - 03 2015
This Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) has been triggered by the proposed rehabilitation of the T2 Road from Chinsali to Nakonde, which is part of the North-South Corridor network planning project prioritization process. The project road forms a critical link in the North-South Corridor, linking trade routes between Angola, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Tanzania. Moreover, it supports the Sixth National Development Plan (SNDP) as well as ROADSIP (Road Sector Investment Programme) objectives. The 611.5 km Serenje–Nakonde section has been subdivided into three (3) subsections for ease of project implementation, namely i) SerenjeMpika (238.3 km), ii) Mpika-Chinsali (164.6 km), and iii) Chinsali-Nakonde (208.6 km).
