GPN - kenya - Kenol-Sagana-Marua Highway Improvement Project Lot 1 & 2
The Government of the Republic of Kenya has applied for financing from the African Development Bank (AfDB) to finance the Kenol - Sagana - Marua Highway Improvement Project. The disbursements in respect to any Contract signed shall be subject to approval of the financing from the Bank.
The Kenol – Sagana – Marua Road is part of the Kenyan section of Trans-Africa Highway, TAH4 (Cairo to Capetown), through Nairobi on to Moyale. The project road also links the Capital City Nairobi to some of the major commercially and agriculturally rich Mt Kenya region as well as to Ethiopia through the Moyale border. The project starts at Kenol town and traverses through the trading centres of Makutano, Sagana, and Karatina before terminating at Marua. The existing road is a single carriageway of bitumen standard.
