In line with its Strategy for 2013-2022, one of the key priorities of the African Development Bank is the development of skills and technology as well as job creation for the rising number of young people in Africa. As such, in December 2013, the AfDB approved a $30 million budget support operation to finance the country’s Youth Employability and Insertion Support Programme (PAAEIJ). The program supports the country’s education system (general education, Technical and Vocational Education and Training and Higher Education). The goals of the program are to improve the employability of graduates through medium term policy reforms, and the creation of 2000 jobs, 40% of which will be targeted to women.

Located 30 minutes away from Abidjan, IUGB is an independent, not-for profit, American-style institution whose focus is to produce workforce-ready innovative, entrepreneurial, and socially responsible leaders.
