14-Mar-2019 - Egypt has affirmed its strong support for the African Development Bank as a development partner and is committed to strengthening regional integration, the country’s Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly said during a meeting in Cairo with a Bank delegation.
Madbouly affirmed Egypt's readiness to work with the African Development Bank. “We are working hard to strengthen our relationships with African nations and the African Development Bank is a very important partner,” the Prime Minister said.
14-Mar-2019 - The African Development Bank will double its climate finance commitments for the period 2020-2025, the Bank’s President announced today at the One Planet Summit taking place in Nairobi. Akinwumi A. Adesina said that the Bank would commit at least US$25 billion towards climate finance.

11-Mar-2019 - The African Development Bank and Sophia University in Japan, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote capacity development within the two institutions for their mutual benefit and the entire African continent.
The agreement was signed Friday at the Bank’s Abidjan headquarters.

The seminar is being convened in collaboration with the Institute for Development Studies (IDS) of the University of Nigeria Nsukka, in Nigeria.

05-Mar-2019 - South Sudan has achieved its highest ever receipt of US$14.2 million in non-oil tax revenues for the first time in the nation’s history, through the efforts of a revamped state revenue authority.
The impressive result - recorded at the end of January 2019 - is evidence that the Non-Oil Revenue Mobilization and Accountability (NORMA) project in South Sudan, set up with a US$14.8 million grant from the African Development Bank to improve domestic resource mobilization in the non-oil sector, is achieving its objectives.
