The session, held on Monday on the sidelines of COP26 in Glasgow, was dedicated to the implementation of NDCs in East Africa. The African Development Bank, German political think-tank Konrad Adenauer Stiftung and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) jointly convened the event.

The winners were announced on Friday 5 November at the Africa Pavilion in Glasgow, the Scottish city that is hosting the COP26 UN Climate Conference. Out of the winners, the majority are businesses run by young women in various parts of the continent.
