Rwanda-AfDB: Board Approves US$ 171 Million Loans for Water and Sanitation Programme

17-Nov-2017 - The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB) has approved two loans amounting to US$ 171 million to finance Rwanda’s Sustainable Water Supply and Sanitation Program. The program is designed to improve the quality of life and socio-economic development of the country by ensuring equitable provision of adequate, reliable and sustainable water and sanitation services for targeted cities with a view to promote economic growth and transformation.

16-Nov-2017 - On Wednesday, November 8, 2017, the African Development Bank (AfDB), rated Aaa (Moody’s) / AAA (S&P) / AAA (Fitch), launched and priced a new US$ 2 billion 5-year Global benchmark transaction due 16 November 2022. The new 5-year US$ benchmark issue: -  is AfDB’s second US$ Global benchmark this year (following the very successful US$2.5bn 3-year issued back in March) and the largest 5-year US$ benchmark to date from the issuer; -  brings a new liquid and on-the-run reference on the 5-year point and extends AfDB’s outstanding US$ curve;

AfDB approves €72 million loan for radical upgrade of Tunisia’s digital capability

10-Nov-2017 - The Board of the African Development Bank Group has approved a loan of €71.56 million to support the implementation of ‘Digital Tunisia 2020’ National Strategic Plan. The Tunisian government is contributing €63.4 million, bringing the total cost of the project to €134.96 million.
