21-Mar-2017 - The Ministerial segment of the African Union’s first Specialized Technical Committee (STC) on Transport, Intercontinental and Interregional Infrastructures, Energy and Tourism brought together over 40 Ministers from the concerned sectors in Lomé, Togo. The STC was organized by the African Union Commission in collaboration with the Government of Togo and with the support of the African Development Bank. The meeting was held to consider strategies for strengthening the financing of the aforementioned sectors.

The funds are mobilized under the Least Developed Countries Fund (LDCF) of the GEF.
14-Mar-2017 - The African Water Facility (AWF) held on February 21, 2017 a launching ceremony and workshop to officially kick-start the Water Resources Management and Investment Plan project for Somaliland. The AWF has provided a €3-million grant to support this project in the aim of building resilience to climate change and reducing water stress in Somaliland.
14-Mar-2017 - On Wednesday, March 8, 2017, the African Development Bank (AfDB), rated Aaa (Moody’s) / AAA (S&P) / AAA (Fitch), launched and priced a new USD 2.5 billion 3-year Global benchmark transaction due March 16, 2020. The new 3-year issue is AfDB’s first USD Global benchmark transaction this year, following a EUR 1 billion 7-year benchmark transaction priced in January.
