14/12/2018 - Troisième producteur africain de coton avec une production de 600 000 tonnes lors de la campagne 2017-2018, le Bénin est toutefois confronté à un enclavement de ses zones cotonnières. Ce jeudi 13 décembre 2018, le Conseil d’administration de la Banque africaine de développement a accordé une assistance financière de 163,12 millions d’euros pour financer l’aménagement de la principale route cotonnière reliant Djougou à Banikoara, longue de 209,68 km. Ce financement se répartit en deux prêts, l’un octroyé par la Banque, à hauteur de 119,93 millions d’euros, l’autre émanant de l’Africa Growing Together Fund (AGTF) pour un montant de 43,19 millions d’euros.

31/08/2018 - Le Groupe de la Banque africaine de développement a octroyé un don de 5 milliards de Francs CFA, via son Fonds africain de développement, au Conseil de l’entente, pour financer la réforme du Centre régional de formation en entretien routier (CERFER). Le financement s’inscrit dans le cadre du projet d’appui à l’intégration de la formation (PAIF) dans les métiers de la route, du chemin de fer et des mines dans les pays membres dudit Conseil – Côte d’Ivoire, Bénin, Togo, Burkina-Faso et Niger.

16/04/2018 - For the first time ever, the African Development Bank has released summaries of the African Economic Outlook (AEO), its main flagship report, in three African languages: Arabic, Hausa and Kiswahili. These three languages are among the most widely spoken by over 300 million Africans. Releasing the report in local languages aims to increase accessibility of the publication’s findings to a large segment of Africans and promote linguistic inclusiveness. This release is also the latest innovation for increasing the relevance and timeliness of the African Economic Outlook.

15/06/2017 - The African Development Bank (AfDB) Group and Export Trading Group (ETG) marked a significant milestone on May 30 with the signing of a US$ 100 million loan to finance part of the company’s Agricultural Investment Program (IP) in Africa which will promote employment for youths and women, and adopt an integrated value-chain approach that emphasizes access to regional and global markets.
