The bond, launched on 21 February 2019, carries a semi-annual coupon of 2.85% and priced at a re-offer yield of 2.896%, 70 basis points (bps) over the New Zealand Government Bond NZGB 3% 20 April 2029 (NZD Mid-swaps + 43.3bps).

An investigation conducted by the Bank’s Office of Integrity and Anti-Corruption established that Ms. DIOMANDE, a resident of Côte d’Ivoire, engaged in a fraudulent practice in bidding for a contract for the provision of media production services to the Bank by falsifying her credentials. 12-Apr-2019 - The Board of the African Development Bank has approved a $15-million investment package to Infrastructure Credit Guarantee Company (InfraCredit), to support infrastructure financing through the domestic debt capital markets in Nigeria.
The investment package to InfraCredit is comprised of a subordinated loan of $10 million and a risk sharing facility of up to $5 million. This intervention will promote local currency infrastructure financing, and further development of the domestic capital market.

Canada’s announcement, to be approved by the Bank’s governors, was made by Maryam Monsef, the Canadian Minister of International Development and for Women and Gender Equality.

10-Apr-2019 - Farmers and other players in Sudan’s agricultural sector are celebrating the success of new heat-resistant wheat varieties which could transform the food landscape in Sudan. The country has been hard hit by a severe bread shortage and sharp price increases last year.
Locals blamed the bread shortage on a lack of foreign currency, which deepened a crisis that was triggered after the government halted wheat import subsidies. Extreme heat has in recent years also affected wheat yields.
