Africa’s economic growth has accelerated in recent years, yet the quality and inclusiveness of this growth remain a major concern to policymakers, researchers, development partners and, most importantly, the ordinary people it is expected to benefit.
To gain a deeper understanding of inclusive growth in Africa, the African Development Bank (AfDB) in conjunction with the Korea Development Institute (KDI) and the Ethiopia Development Research Institute (EDRI) will be holding an Expert Group Meeting to be hosted by EDRI in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from May 6-7, 2013. In order to deepen our understanding of inclusive growth in Africa, experts working in this or related areas are also hereby invited to submit completed papers to be included in the discussion during the Expert Group Meeting. High-quality papers may be considered for publication as chapters of a book for the AfDB/KDI Inclusive Growth Project or as a Working Paper for the AfDB.
