26/05/2016 - On Thursday, May 26, 2016 the African Development Bank Group (AfDB) and the Government of the Republic of Cameroon signed an agreement under which the Global Environment Facility (GEF) will provide a grant of US $1,726,484 to support environmental adaptation of the Central Africa fibre-optic backbone project.
10/05/2016 - Plusieurs représentants gouvernementaux, d’organisations internationales, du secteur privé, de la société civile et des médias, se sont réunis les 28 et 29 Avril 2016 à Yaoundé dans le cadre de l’Atelier de lancement du Processus d’action national de l’Initiative « Énergie durable pour tous » (dite SE4All pour l’acronyme anglais) au Cameroun.
20/04/2016 - The Global Environment Facility (GEF) announced on April 15, 2016, the approval of USD 18 million in funding for two projects co-financed with the African Development Bank (AfDB). The first project aims at supporting African countries to shift toward renewable energy (RE) infrastructure through the preparation of RE projects, while the second seeks to help Cameroon to improve its urban planning and waste management.
21/01/2016 - At its regular meeting in Abidjan on Wednesday, January 20, the Board of Directors of the African Development Bank (AfDB) approved a €89.291-million loan to finance the development of an Agricultural Value Chain Development Project (AVC-DP) in Cameroon.
21/12/2015 - The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB), on December 17, 2015 in Abidjan, approved EUR 24 million to fund the expansion of Kribi Power Plant, an existing natural gas plant in Cameroon, operating since May 2013. The expansion of Kribi (Kribi II) consists of the development, design, construction, operation and maintenance of a 125 MW gas-fired power plant extension. Upon completion, Kribi Power Plant’s aggregate capacity will be 340 MW.
10/12/2015 - La Banque africaine de développement et le Cameroun ont procédé le lundi 30 novembre, à Yaoundé, au lancement officiel de la composante du Cameroun du Projet Dorsale à fibre optique d’Afrique centrale communément appelé en anglais Central Africa Backbone (CAB), projet prioritaire dans le cadre du Programme de développement des infrastructures en Afrique (PIDA). La mission de lancement s’est achevée le 2 décembre 2015.
