22/02/2019 - Evariste Yameogo ne cache pas sa joie. Le gérant du maquis « Respect Plus » à Sakoinsé, village de la commune rurale de Kokologho (province de Boulkiemdé) salue le raccordement de son établissement à l’électricité. Il a acquis un réfrigérateur-congélateur et son restaurant, qui emploie désormais 13 personnes, a les moyens de proposer de nouvelles prestations à sa clientèle.

26/12/2018 - The African Development Bank Civil Society and Social Innovation Division organized a one- day “Civil Society Awareness Brown Bag Lunch” on 19 December 2018 at the Bank’s headquarters. The Bank, under the leadership of President Akinwumi Adesina, has gradually placed African citizens at the centre of its intervention strategy, making civil society a key partner to achieve greater results with lasting impact on the lives of Africans.

16/10/2018 - The Gender, Women and Civil Society Department (AHGC) hosted a two day workshop from 8-9 October 2018 in Abidjan, Côte d’ivoire with a delegation from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). This workshop was a promising first step to exchange knowledge, ideas and expertise on how to respond in a timely and judicious manner to the needs and priorities of the population – particularly women and girls – in transition countries in Africa.

The Civil Society Forum is a platform for dialogue between civil society and the African Development Bank. The 2018 edition of the Forum will take place at the Bank’s headquarters in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, from May 7 to 9 and is aligned with the industrialization theme of the Bank’s 2018 Annual Meetings.
