16/10/2018 - The Gender, Women and Civil Society Department (AHGC) hosted a two day workshop from 8-9 October 2018 in Abidjan, Côte d’ivoire with a delegation from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). This workshop was a promising first step to exchange knowledge, ideas and expertise on how to respond in a timely and judicious manner to the needs and priorities of the population – particularly women and girls – in transition countries in Africa.

The Civil Society Forum is a platform for dialogue between civil society and the African Development Bank. The 2018 edition of the Forum will take place at the Bank’s headquarters in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, from May 7 to 9 and is aligned with the industrialization theme of the Bank’s 2018 Annual Meetings.

27/02/2017 - The African Development Bank (AfDB), in collaboration with the World Health Organization-Africa Region and the Collaborative Africa Budget Reform Initiative (CABRI), organized a capacity-building workshop for senior officials from Ministries of Finance, Health, Education and civil society organizations from February 21-23 in Abuja, Nigeria. The workshop targeted Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) member countries (Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo).

15/12/2016 - La Banque africaine de développement (BAD) et les organisations de la société civile (OSC) d’Afrique du nord se sont engagées, le 15 décembre 2016 à Tunis, en Tunisie, à mettre en place un Comité BAD-Société civile renforcé et performant. C’était lors de la clôture des consultations régionales démarrées le 13 décembre 2016, dont l’objectif est de renforcer le partenariat entre les deux parties pour atteindre les objectifs opérationnels de la BAD.
