14/09/2016 - The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB) on September 8, 2016 in Abidjan, approved two grants of US $1 million each, to Cape Verde and Guinea Bissau as emergency assistance to support the implementation of National Preparedness and Response Plans to fight the Zika virus outbreak in the two countries.

18/05/2016 - Le président de la Banque africaine de développement (BAD), Akinwumi Adesina, a effectué les 16 et 17 mai 2016 une visite de travail en Guinée, sur invitation du président guinéen, Alpha Condé. Il s’agit de la première visite en Guinée du président Adesina, depuis son entrée en fonction. Adesina était accompagné dans sa visite d’une délégation dont faisait partie l’administrateur de la BAD pour la Guinée, Amadou Koné. Le président de la BAD a été reçu en audience par le Chef de l’Etat guinéen et a eu une séance de travail avec le Premier ministre Mamady Youla et plusieurs membres de son gouvernement.

04/03/2016 - A high level meeting took place on February 25, 2016 between a delegation of the West African Health Organization (WAHO) and the Human and Social Development Department (OSHD) of the African Development Bank to discuss further collaboration between the two institutions. The meeting was held at the Bank’s headquarters in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
