06/02/2019 - The Kingdom of Eswatini is on track for progress following encouraging country performance in execution of ongoing projects, Executive Directors of the African Development Bank concluded following a consultative mission to the southern African nation.
18/01/2019 - A team of ten Executive Directors (EDs) from the African Development Bank will be on a three-day stakeholder consultation mission in the Kingdom of Eswatini (formerly Swaziland) over the period 27-30 January 2019.
29/11/2018 - The Board of Directors has approved a ZAR 720 million loan to finance the Manzini Region Water Supply and Sanitation Project in eSwatini (former Swaziland). The project aims to expand access to adequate water and sanitation services for all citizens and to contribute to economic development and poverty alleviation in Eswatini.

The African Development Institute of the African Development Bank and the Southern Africa Regional Development and Business Delivery Office will host a national workshop on “Enhancing Institutional Capacity to Implement Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) in the Energy Sector” in Mbabane, Swaziland on 8-12 October 2018. The workshop is being convened in collaboration with the African Legal Support Facility, a public international institution hosted by the Bank.

09/05/2017 - Through its Working Group on Education Management and Policy Support (ADEA-WGEMPS) and in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Training in Swaziland, the Association for the Development of Education in Africa (ADEA) launched the Smart School System (3S), a mobile application for capturing teacher and learner attendance, financed by the Government of the Kingdom of Swaziland and ADEA.
09/05/2016 - Swaziland has secured a US $63 million (ZAR 2.01 billion) loan to finance the second phase of the Lower Usuthu Smallholder Irrigation Project (LUSIP II) in the southeastern part of the country.
23/10/2015 - The Africa Climate Change Fund (ACCF) announced Friday, the approval of three projects totaling USD 1.35 million to enhance the readiness of Cape Verde, Kenya and Swaziland to mobilize climate finance, necessary to achieve national sustainable development goals.
12/12/2014 - The African Development Bank (AfDB) will issue a grant of US $990,000 to finance three studies under an energy sector support programme in Swaziland. The objective of the programme is to provide technical assistance to Swaziland aimed at promoting investment in the electricity supply industry to expand reliable energy supplies and enhance the country’s electricity access rate. The Bank and the Government of Swaziland/Swaziland Electricity Company (SEC) will jointly finance the project, with the Bank’s funding representing 93.1% of the total project cost.
20/06/2014 - Le Conseil d’administration de la Banque africaine de développement (BAD) a approuvé le mercredi 18 juin 2014 à Tunis, un projet de fourniture de services durables d’eau et d’assainissement de la municipalité d’Ezulwini au Swaziland dont l’objectif est de promouvoir la croissance inclusive, en prenant en compte les populations des zones rurales, urbaines et périurbaines.
