65 millions d’Euros pour financer l’alimentation en eau pour multi usages au Sénégal

24-Nov-2016 - La Banque africaine de développement vient d’approuver un prêt BAD d’un montant de 65 millions d’Euros (42,64 milliards de F CFA) à la République du Sénégal pour financer le « projet de renforcement de l’alimentation en eau pour multi usages sur l’axe Louga – Thiès – Dakar, à partir de la station de Keur Momar Sarr ». Le projet constitue la contribution de la Banque au projet global de « construction d’une 3ème station de traitement à Keur Momar Sarr », d’un coût global de 423,84 millions d’Euros.

AfDB Board approves 2017-2021 Country Strategy Paper for Rwanda

23-Nov-2016 - The African Development Bank (AfDB) will support Rwanda’s economic transformation by boosting inclusive private sector-led growth and creating higher value-added formal employment with an indicative financing package estimated at US $939.4 million over a five-year period. This support package is contained in the Bank’s 2017-2021 Country Strategy Paper (CSP) for Rwanda, which will guide the Bank’s operations in the country during the next five years, approved by its Board of Directors on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

23-Nov-2016 - Heriniaina, or “Life Force” in Malagasy, confidently stands on her land in Tanandava. She has made the most of her plot, saving enough money to acquire an additional hectare of land and a tractor worth 3,000 euros. The tractor has enabled her to double her harvest. Heriniaina, a member of a local women’s association, is miles ahead of many other local farmers, who still use zebus to cultivate their land. She also rents her tractor to increase her earnings. “My life has changed,” she says.
