Addressing a cross-section of natural resources experts at a seminar convened jointly with the African Legal Support Facility (ALSF) on 19 July 2016 in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, the aim was to draw attention to the complexity of contract negotiations and dialogue on the importance of good governance in negotiations between African countries and investors.

The three most innovative stories were selected based on the criteria of access to education, retention and performance.

19-Jul-2016 - The issue of Africa’s industrialization was the focus of the 35th Session of the NEPAD Heads of State and Government Orientation Committee that met in Kigali, Rwanda, in the context of the African Union Summit. At the July 16, 2016 event, the leaders deliberated on the importance of intensifying industrialization and scaling up the continent’s electrification programs. They urged the New Partnership for Africa’s Development to work with regional trading blocs to achieve industrialization for sustainable development.

Après l’effectivité de la préparation requise par la méthodologie, 177 IRR ont été lancées le 10 mars 2016 pour un cycle de 100 jours.
AfDB funds a platform to support women empowerment in 36 African countries
18-Jul-2016 - On 15th of July 2016, the African Development Bank (AfDB) approved USD 12.4 million grant for a project called "50 million Women Speak" to create a networking platform dedicated to sub-Saharan women entrepreneurs. The grant will be spread between the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), the East African Community (EAC) and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
