Gabon-AfDB: Donors Consider Aid Harmonization Report
Donors represented in Gabon on Thursday in Libreville examined the thematic reports of the group on aid harmonization, as well as those of the macroeconomic, infrastructure and the poverty reduction strategy papers groups.
The African Development Bank Group regional office in Gabon participated in the meeting which discussed the need to adopt a sectoral approach for the transport sector. A joint mission of the donors concerned (African Development Bank, European Union, World Bank and Agence française de développement) is envisaged for this purpose in the middle of March 2006.
The meeting also discussed a joint meeting with the new Prime Minister scheduled for Friday.
The Bank was represented by its resident representative, Mr. Mamadou Lamine N’Dongo, and Mrs. Assitan Diarra-Thioune, Principal Macro-economist in the country office.
