02-Sep-2019 - Ezulwini, Eswatini, 2 September 2019 – The Kingdom of Eswatini has embarked on a recovery plan to fight its way out of an economic slump, the country’s Finance Minister Neal Rijkenberg said on Monday. Rijkenberg made the remarks during an official visit by African Development Bank Group President Akinwumi Adesina. He said the new government, which took office after elections in November 2018, had adopted a strategic roadmap to guide the economic recovery.

Both Japan and the Bank have set a target of $1.75 billion each, from 2020-2022, to enhance the fourth phase of EPSA to spur private-sector-led sustainable and inclusive growth in Africa.

Mozambique: African Development Bank contributes to major power transmission line

30-Aug-2019 - The African Development Bank is to part-finance the construction of a 563 km power transmission line in Mozambique, after signing the agreement on 28 August to start the Temane transmission project, approved by the Board in July. The Bank will contribute $33 million in grants to the project.
