31/08/2017 - Monday, August 28, 2017 was a special day for young entrepreneurs in Liberia. After Côte d’Ivoire in December 2016, the Bank is supporting the Government of Liberia to provide entrepreneurship training to young people in the agriculture value chain from 28th to 31st August 2017. The objective of the training is to encourage young entrepreneurs to take the bull by the horn, embrace risk and start their business.

27/06/2017 - The Climate Investment Funds (CIF) awarded Liberia a grant in the amount of US$ 23.25 million to help transform the country’s renewable energy sector. The project aims at developing a 9.8 MW hydropower plant at Gbedin Falls on the Mano River in Nimba County and provide a low-cost, sustainable and reliable source of electricity to Liberia.

08/04/2016 - Liberia, a small country of 4 million inhabitants located in West Africa, is on the verge of undergoing one of the most transformational moments in its agricultural history.

With 10% of its adult population having subscribed to mobile money accounts, Liberia can boast of soon being able to double this figure thanks to the Liberian Agriculture Transformation Agenda (LATA), launched by the Government of Liberia with the support of the African Development Bank.

04/03/2016 - A high level meeting took place on February 25, 2016 between a delegation of the West African Health Organization (WAHO) and the Human and Social Development Department (OSHD) of the African Development Bank to discuss further collaboration between the two institutions.
