27/08/2014 - The President of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB), Donald Kaberuka, and the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Director for Africa, Dr. Luis Sambo, on Tuesday, August 26 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) cementing a US $60 million Bank grant to help strengthen West Africa’s public health systems in response to the Ebola crisis.

02/07/2014 - The Government of Rwanda, spearheading an African Union-led initiative, and the African Development Bank Group (AfDB) have signed an agreement aimed at providing at least EUR 50 million (approx. USD 70 million) within an Africa-wide resource mobilization initiative. The initiative will finance improved access to drinking water, sanitation and hygiene in Africa. The agreement was signed on the fringes of the 23rd AU Summit held from 26-27 June 2014 In Malabo (Equatorial Guinea).

27/06/2014 - Le Groupe de la Banque africaine de développement (BAD) et la Côte d’Ivoire, respectivement représentés par Janvier Kpourou Litse, directeur en charge du Nepad, de l’Intégration régionale et du commerce et Nialé Kaba, ministre ivoirien en charge de l’Economie et des Finances, ont procédé le 25 juin 2014 à Abidjan, à la signature de protocoles de dons relatifs au Programme d’appui au renforcement de l’inclusion et de la cohésion sociale (PARICS).

23/05/2014 - The African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Nordic Development Fund (NDF) have decided to join forces in their bid to deal with climate change. To concretize their ambition, the two entities on Thursday, May 22 in Kigali, signed a 5 million euro grant agreement. Climate change is also one of the strategic issues raised during the Annual Meetings, on the theme: “The next 50 years, the Africa we want”.

23/05/2014 - The African Development Bank (AfDB) Group, on Thursday, May 22, 2014 in Kigali, signed its first post-revolution grant agreement with the Libyan authorities, to assist with leadership capacity building and democratic transition in the country. The grant amounts to US $3.5 million to strengthen the efficiency and effectiveness of the Libyan institutions to deliver democratic governance and sustainable economic and social development.
