27/08/2014 - The President of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB), Donald Kaberuka, and the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Director for Africa, Dr. Luis Sambo, on Tuesday, August 26 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) cementing a US $60 million Bank grant to help strengthen West Africa’s public health systems in response to the Ebola crisis.

27/06/2014 - Le Groupe de la Banque africaine de développement (BAD) et la Côte d’Ivoire, respectivement représentés par Janvier Kpourou Litse, directeur en charge du Nepad, de l’Intégration régionale et du commerce et Nialé Kaba, ministre ivoirien en charge de l’Economie et des Finances, ont procédé le 25 juin 2014 à Abidjan, à la signature de protocoles de dons relatifs au Programme d’appui au renforcement de l’inclusion et de la cohésion sociale (PARICS).

18/12/2013 - The Board of Executive Directors of the African Development Bank (AfDB) has approved a loan of 115 million euros to finance the third phase of the PARCOUM Program to support key institutional reforms of medical coverage in Morocco. The program will be implemented in 2014.

17/12/2013 - The African Development Bank (AfDB) and the government of Japan signed on 16 December, 2013 a bilateral Exchange of Notes for a loan to the AfDB of 9.48 billion Japanese yen (about US$ 100 million). This is the fourth loan to the AfDB under the Enhanced Private Sector Assistance (EPSA) for Africa Initiative (and the first under the second phase announced at Arusha), which supports entrepreneurship, job creation and economic growth in Africa.

11/12/2013 - The African Development Bank (AfDB) has signed a loan agreement for US $21.34 million, together with a grant agreement protocol for the sum of $7.56 million. Both agreements relate to the program to support improving youth employability and integration, approved by the Bank’s Board of Directors on December 4, 2013.

03/10/2013 - The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the African Development Bank (AfDB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Thursday, October 3 in Tunis establishing a partnership of cooperation, aimed at providing assistance to improve the lives of the most vulnerable in Africa.

03/10/2013 - On Thursday October 3, 2013, the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Government of Sudan signed a Protocol of Agreement for Technical Assistance for the preparation of a full Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper (PRSP). The grant is financed with UA 1.97 million (US $3.2 million) from Pillar III of the Fragile State Facility. Most of the funds will go towards financing a National Baseline Household Survey (NBHS) in all 18 states in Sudan, which will be the first since the secession of South Sudan.

17/09/2013 - The signing ceremony for the Declaration of Intent for the Joint Initiative on Youth Employment in Africa (JYEIA) took place on September 12, 2013 at the Headquarters of the African Union Commission (AUC) in Addis Ababa. The Initiative is a response by the AUC, African Development Bank, United Nations Economic Commission for Africa and the International Labour Organization to the call by African Heads of State and Government, at their Summit in Malabo, Republic of Equatorial Guinea, held in July 2011, to tackle more decisively the youth employment challenge in Africa

13/09/2013 - The African Development Bank (AfDB) and the French Development Agency (AFD) signed an Exchange of Letters on September 13, 2013, in Tunis. The Exchange of Letters was signed by the AfDB President, Donald Kaberuka, and the AFD Director General, Anne Paugam. The AfDB Executive Director for France, Belgium and Spain, François Kruger, was in attendance.
