09/01/2019 - La Commission européenne et la Banque africaine de développement ont procédé,- à la signature de deux accords de co-financement, au profit du projet d’interconnexion électrique entre le Cameroun et le Tchad et de la Dorsale transsaharienne à fibre optique (DTS). C’était le jeudi 20 décembre 2018, au siège de la Commission européenne à Bruxelles.
23/02/2018 - The African Development Bank and the Gabonese National Agency for Numerical Infrastructure and Frequency (ANINF) have signed agreements a feasibility study for the country's component of the Central African Backbone (CAB) project. The project is an integrated, innovative and transformative infrastructure which consist of completing the 901.8 km fiber optic connectivity to cover 14 missing links on the Gabonese national backbone.
18/07/2016 - The African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Government of Rwanda signed a new African Development Fund loan financing agreement and an European Union (EU) –Africa Infrastructure Trust Fund grant agreement for the amounts of US$ 93.1 million and USD $ 22.4 million respectively to finance the rehabilitation and widening of the Kagitumba-kayonza-Rusumo road (208 km) and the associated activities, provision of market facilities, support to communities through enhancing raw milk trading and transportation and community water supply in Rwanda Eastern province.
02/07/2014 - The Government of Rwanda, spearheading an African Union-led initiative, and the African Development Bank Group (AfDB) have signed an agreement aimed at providing at least EUR 50 million (approx. USD 70 million) within an Africa-wide resource mobilization initiative. The initiative will finance improved access to drinking water, sanitation and hygiene in Africa. The agreement was signed on the fringes of the 23rd AU Summit held from 26-27 June 2014 In Malabo (Equatorial Guinea).
23/05/2014 - The Export-Import Bank of India (Exim Bank) and Nigeria signed a US $100-million line of credit agreement on May 22, for the financing of three energy projects in the provision of electricity transformers to solar electrification in rural areas.
08/04/2014 - Following the signing of the Capacity Building Project between the African Union Commission (AUC) and the African Development Bank during the meetings of the African Heads of State and Government held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in January 2014, the AfDB formally launched the project in Centurion, South Africa, on April 7, 2014.
