Omar Kabbaj, a rappelé que les « approbations cumulées de la Bad au profit du Maroc s’élèvent à ce jour à 6 milliards de $ [environ 50 milliards de dirhams], pour le financement de 79 opérations ». « Un niveau d’engagement, a apprécié le président Kabbaj, qui constitue un indicateur éloquent du dynamisme et de l’exemplarité de la coopération entre la Banque et le Royaume du Maroc, de la convergence des efforts et des attentes pour le développement national. »

13-Jan-2005 - The ADB Vice-President for North, South and East operations, Mr. Theodore Nkodo and Madagascar Minister of Finances, Mr. Benjamin Radavidsonsigned in Tunis two grant agreements from the African Development Fund (ADF) to finance a project for the control of communicable diseases HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases STD, tuberculosis and hepatitis) and a project of Institutional Capacity Building for Good Governance (PRIBG)in the amount of about US$ 9 million, equivalent to UA* 6 million for each project.

ADF, Burundi sign 4 loan and grant agreements to support socio-economic reforms, institutional modernization and good governance

12-Jan-2005 - The ADB Vice-President for Central and West operations, Mr. Bisi Ogunjobi and Burundi’s Minister of Finances, Mr. Athanase Gahungu signed in Tunis four loan and grant agreements from the African Development Fund (ADF) to finance three important operations for a total amount of US$ 36 million equivalent to UA* 23 million. These three operations will focus on administrative modernization, basic infrastructure rehabilitation, protection of environment and reinforcement of capacity building.

ADF, Liptako-Gourma Authority Sign Grant Agreement: Improve economic integration in Western Africa

27-Dec-2004 - The Institutional Support Project funded by the ADF will provide ALG, a regional cooperation organization including Burkina-Faso, Mali and Niger, with an energy and rural transport plan for the Liptako-Gourma Region which by the year 2006 will lead to a regional stock watering programme, a regional electrification programme and a rural road programme.

African Development Bank Group resumes its assistance to Congo

14-Dec-2004 - The AfDB Vice-President for Central and West operations, Mr. Bisi Ogunjobi, and Congo Minister of Economy, Finance and Budget, Mr. Rigobert Andely, signed today in Tunis a grant agreement of US$ 51.1 million (33.3 million Units of Account or 26 billion FCFA) to finance an arrears clearance programme. Mr Ogunjobi and Mr. Andely also ratified an African Development Fund (ADF) loan agreement, to support the Policy Reform Programme, reaching US$ 10.7 million (UA 7 million).

09-Dec-2004 - The African Development Bank Group Vice President for North, East and South Operations, Mr. Theodore Nkodo, and the Ambassador for Tanzania in Egypt , Mr. Kassim Mwawando, signed, in Tunis on Thursday, December 9, the loan agreement of the Poverty Reduction Support Project amounting to US$ 76.8 million (50 million Units of Account). The project was approved by the ADF Board of Directors on October 27, 2004.

07-Dec-2004 - Le vice-président pour les opérations des régions Ouest et Centre du Groupe de la Banque africaine de développement, M. Bisi Ogunjobi, et l’ambassadeur de la Mauritanie en Tunisie, M. Cheikh Ould Baha, ont signé à Tunis le mardi 7 décembre, un accord de prêt de 1,2 million de dollars EU (809 000 unités de compte) afin de financer le projet multinational degestion intégrée des plantes aquatiques proliférantes en Afrique de l’Ouest.

Ghana Reaches Completion Point in HIPC Initiative: Obtains major debt relief from the ADB

01-Dec-2004 - The Bank Group will, as a result, provide irrevocable debt relief of US$ 131 million in net present value (NPV) terms to the country. Ghana will be released from up to 80 percent of annual debt service to the Bank Group until the entire amount is delivered sometime in January 2013. In practical terms, its 2004 debt service obligations, for example, will fall from about US$ 25.15 million to about US$ 5.03 million. Boubacar Gaoussou Diarra, ambassadeur du Mali à Tunis, ont signé l’accord de don. Le montant de ce don, 8,3 millions d’unités de compte (6,4 millions de FCFA), contribuera à réduire le taux de séroprévalence par l’amélioration des services de dépistage, la mise à disposition des antiviraux aux malades du SIDA.
