AfDB and Morocco Sign €66 Million Budget Support Loan Agreement

27-Jun-2008 - Tunis, 25 June 2008 – The African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Kingdom of Morocco have signed a €66 million loan agreement to finance the third phase of the country’s Public Administration Reform Support Programme (PARAP III) which was approved on Wednesday, 25 June 2008,  in Tunis, by the Board of Directors of the Bank Group.

AfDB Finance for Zambia’s Electric Power Project

16-Jun-2008 - Lusaka, 12 June – The African Development Bank (AfDB) Group on Thursday in Lusaka, signed US$ 1.2 million grant agreement with the Zambia Electricity Supply Corporation (ZESCO). AfDB Vice President for Country Policy and Programmes, Joseph Eichenberger, who signed for the Bank, said at a brief ceremony at the ZESCO headquarters that the grant would finance advisory services for two electric power generation projects in Zambia.

18-Dec-2007 - On January 17th, alongside its partners, the African Development Bank signed the Loan agreement for the RascomStar-QSF project alongside its development partners. The loan is the final piece of the financing arrangements that will see the launch of the first pan-African communications satellite on 20th December. The total investment in the project is US$380 million of which the Bank provided a loan of US$50 million.
