Tunis, 5 May 2008 – The African Development (AfDB) Group and the Advans Bank Congo, on Monday in Tunis, signed an agreement for an equity investment of US$ 1.1 million to enable Advans Congo support small businesses in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

07-Apr-2008 - Rabat, 7 April 2008 – The African Development Bank (AfDB) Vice President for Finance, Thierry de Longuemar, Morocco’s Economy and Finance Minister, Salaheddine Mezouar and the Director General of the country’s National Electricity Corporation (ONE), Younes Maamar, have agreed to proceed with the signing of a supplementary loan and project guarantee agreement for the Ain Beni Mathar power station in Morocco.

07-Mar-2008 - Tunis, 7 March 2008 – The Governments of Ghana and Tanzania this week signed loans and grants of a combined amount of US$ 98.8 million to finance energy projects, underscoring the African Development Bank Group’s renewed emphasis on infrastructure development and poverty reduction in its Regional Member Countries (RMCs).

30-Jan-2008 - Tunis, 30 January 2008 - The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank (AfDB) approved on Wednesday in Tunis, a capital subscription of Euro 3.05 million and a Line of Credit (LOC) of Euro 40 million to the West African Development Bank (BOAD). BOAD is a regional financial institution which provides financing for the economic development of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) member states by diversifying its sources of finance.
