19-May-2006 - Ouagadougou, 17 May 2006 – The African Development Fund and the Government of Ghana today in Ouagadougou signed a loan agreement of 46 million Units of Account, (equivalent to US$ 68 million or 606 billion GHC) to finance the Accra Sewerage Improvement Project.
The agreement was signed by Zeinab El-Bakri, ADB Vice President of Operations, and Mr. Kwadwo Baah-Wiredu, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning of Ghana.
19-May-2006 - Ouagadougou, 17 May 2006 – The African Development Fund (ADF) and the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria today in Ouagadagou signed a loan agreement of 30 million Units of Account, (equivalent to US$ 44.2 million) to finance a Skills Training and Vocational Education Project in Nigeria.
The agreement was signed by Mrs. Zeinab El-Bakri, ADB Vice President of Operations, and Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Federal Minister Finance of Nigeria.
19-May-2006 - Ouagadougou, 17 May 2006 – The African Development Fund and the Government of Mali today in Ouagadagou signed a loan agreement of 14.92 million Units of Account, (equivalent to US$ 22 million or CFAF 11.8 billion) for agricultural production in the region of Bamako, Mali. The loan will finance the Baguineda Irrigation Scheme Intensification Project (30 km to Bamako’s North East, on the right bank of River Niger).

10-May-2006 - Tunis, 10, May 2006 – The African Development Fund (ADF), the concessional window of the African Development Bank (ADB) Group, has approved a grant of UA 1,000,000 (equivalent to US$ 1.47 million) to finance a study for the formulation of a national programme for rural water supply and sanitation (DWSS) in Guinea.
The objective of the programme is to improve the socio–economic and health situation of the rural population.

06-Apr-2006 - Tunis, 5 April, 2006 – The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank on Wednesday in Tunis approved a grant of US$500,000 dollars as emergency assistance in support of the Nigerian Government’s effort to combat Avian Influenza in 2006.
The grant will be used to finance the campaign by strengthening national capacity to maintain functional laboratories and prepare long-term strategic plans and programmes to contain and control the spread of the pandemic.
