09/09/2014 - The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB) held its first regular meeting since the Bank returned to its statutory headquarters in Abidjan on Monday, September 8 and approved a combined US $256 million for the financing of investments in Nigeria and Ethiopia as well as a multinational projects preparation facility.

31/07/2014 - The African Water Facility has offered a €1.2 million grant to the Kisumu Water and Sewage Company (KIWASCO) to support an innovative project that will provide sanitation services for residents in the Manyatta settlement in Kisumu, Kenya, while creating business through the sale of fertilizers, biogas and energy as by-product of sanitation collection.
29/05/2014 - The Board of Executive Directors of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB) approved on May 28, 2014 in Tunis the AfDB’s first Human Capital Strategy (HCS). The strategy paves the way for Bank investments in areas such as education, skills development, health, science, technology, innovation, social protection, safety nets and youth employment.
18/04/2014 - The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank approved on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 in Tunis, a US $8.2 million loan to The Gambia’s Horizons Clinic. The Horizons Clinic project to which the Board approved a US $8.2-million loan involves the design, building and operation of a 60-bed international standard, state-of-the-art medical facility in The Gambia.
