27/08/2014 - The President of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB), Donald Kaberuka, and the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Director for Africa, Dr. Luis Sambo, on Tuesday, August 26 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) cementing a US $60 million Bank grant to help strengthen West Africa’s public health systems in response to the Ebola crisis.

31/07/2014 - The African Water Facility has offered a €1.2 million grant to the Kisumu Water and Sewage Company (KIWASCO) to support an innovative project that will provide sanitation services for residents in the Manyatta settlement in Kisumu, Kenya, while creating business through the sale of fertilizers, biogas and energy as by-product of sanitation collection.

The Horizons Clinic project to which the Board approved a US $8.2-million loan involves the design, building and operation of a 60-bed international standard, state-of-the-art medical facility in The Gambia.
