17/01/2018 - The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank has approved a US $500-million loan to finance Egypt’s Economic Governance and Energy Support Program Phase III. This is the last in a series of three annual loans worth a total of US $1.5 billion covering the fiscal years 2015-2016 to 2017-2018 for the Economic Governance and Energy Support Program Based Operation.

12/10/2016 - The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB) has approved a Senior Loan of ZAR 570 million to South Africa’s Housing Investment Partners Trust 2 -HIP2), also known as Vulumnyango Trust, to help finance affordable housing programmes in the country. The loan will help improve access to long-term affordable housing finance to South Africa’s lower-middle income earners currently with limited opportunities to access affordable mortgages.

11/12/2014 - La Banque africaine de développement (BAD) et le gouvernement mauritanien ont signé, ce 11 décembre 2014 à Abidjan, trois accords de don totalisant plus de 24 millions de dollars EU.

Ces dons, destinés à favoriser une croissance inclusive dans le pays, financeront la composante mauritanienne du Programme de renforcement de la résilience à l’insécurité alimentaire et nutritionnelle au Sahel, ainsi que le Projet d’appui à la gouvernance pour la promotion d’une croissance inclusive et le Projet d’appui à la formation et l’emploi des jeunes dans le pays.

27/08/2014 - The President of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB), Donald Kaberuka, and the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Director for Africa, Dr. Luis Sambo, on Tuesday, August 26 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) cementing a US $60 million Bank grant to help strengthen West Africa’s public health systems in response to the Ebola crisis.
