13/09/2013 - The Comoros Energy Sector Support Project will receive grants totaling US $20.1 million to finance the rebuilding the country’s electricity sector. The financing source is mobilized from the Bank’s resources: (i) US $8.3 million from the African Development Fund (ADF), and (ii) US $12.1 million from the Fragile States Facility.

30/08/2013 - The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has won approval of a $21.5 million grant from the Climate Investment Funds (CIF) to jump-start sustainable management of its critically important forest sector to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and strengthen forest governance.

22/07/2013 - The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank (AfDB) approved today the Africa Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Program, a four-year, US $125-million funding program combined with a US $3.98-million technical assistance package granted by the Fund for African Private Sector Assistance (FAPA), aiming at supporting micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Africa.

18/06/2013 - La Banque africaine de développement (BAD) a signé le 14 juin trois conventions de dons avec des structures bénéficiaires du Fonds de renforcement des capacités de la micro finance, pour un total de 900.000 euros. Ces dons, financés par l’Espagne, permettront aux ménages africains démunis d’accéder au financement susceptible de leur permettre d’initier des activités génératrices de revenus.

10/06/2013 - Le Groupe de la Banque africaine de développement (BAD) et la République centrafricaine (RCA) ont signé, le 31 mai 2013 à Marrakech, au Maroc, un accord de don relatif au projet d’appui aux statistiques et à la mise en œuvre du deuxième Document de stratégie de réduction de la pauvreté (DSRP), pour un total de 2,034 millions de dollars EU.
