05/02/2019 - Bertine Mariazy is a farmer in Tanandava, a rural town in Morombe District in south-west Madagascar. Her standard of living has soared over the past eight years, as a result of development works in the irrigated area of Bas Mangoky (supplied with water by the Mangoky, at 822 km in length, the longest river in Madagascar). Having better quality water and in greater quantity for her land has enabled her to double her rice production and her cropping area.

25/01/2019 - It's market day in Tsianisiha, a rural town in the district of Toliara in south-west Madagascar. In the central square, the stalls are overflowing with the thousands of products that attract an ever-greater throng of shoppers every Monday. And for good reason: in just five years, Tsianisiha has been completely transformed, much to the benefit of its inhabitants.

29/11/2017 - Le Conseil d’administration du Groupe de la banque africaine de développement (BAD) a approuvé le 28 novembre 2017, à Abidjan, en Côte d’Ivoire, un don de 14 millions de dollars américains et une garantie partielle de crédit de la Facilité d’appui à la transition (FAT) de 31 millions de dollars EU afin de financer la première phase du Programme d’appui à la compétitivité économique (PACE I) à Madagascar.

23/11/2017 - Le Conseil d’administration du Groupe de la Banque africaine de développement (BAD) a approuvé, le 22 Novembre 2017 à Abidjan, en Côte d’Ivoire, le Document de stratégie pays (DSP) de Madagascar, qui vise à contribuer à réduire la pauvreté et à améliorer les conditions de vie de la population, en créant des emplois grâce à une transformation structurelle accélérée et l’industrialisation. Le DSP orientera les interventions de la Banque dans ce pays au cours des cinq prochaines années.
