Up to 3,000 delegates, including African heads of state, ministers, central bank governors, members of the development community, the private sector, and other stakeholders will attend.
This year’s theme is “Africa’s Transformation, the African Development Bank Group, and the Reform of the Global Financial Architecture.”

05-Apr-2024 - The African Legal Support Facility (ALSF) has appointed Akere Muna, an eminent lawyer and international legal consultant, as Goodwill Ambassador, marking a new chapter in its commitment to build sustainable legal capacity on the African continent.
Muna was appointed by the Governing Council of the ALSF for a term of three years - a first time in the history of the young institution.

04-Apr-2024 - Canada reaffirmed its partnership with the African Development Bank Group during a meeting between Cheryl Urban, Canada’s Assistant Deputy Minister responsible for International Affairs for Sub-Saharan Africa, and the Bank’s Senior Vice President, Bajabulile Swazi Tshabalala.
Urban visited the Bank’s headquarters in Abidjan on Monday, 25 March 2024. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss strengthening ties between the Bank, the premier development institution in Africa, and Canada, a key shareholder.

28-Mar-2024 - The Remote Appraisal, Supervision, Monitoring and Evaluation (RASME) initiative was launched in Kenya recently. Kenya now joins 31 other regional member countries where RASME has already been launched.
The digital tool collects geo-localised data from the field using mobile devices, thereby strengthening project supervision. Data are securely stored centrally for easy access and review by authorised stakeholders.

28-Mar-2024 - The African Development Bank has signed a $75 million loan agreement with Nigeria’s Indorama Eleme Fertilizer and Chemicals Limited. The loan will enable Indorama to increase its fertilizer production and develop a port terminal for exports, supporting food production and food security across regional and international markets, while fostering job creation in Nigeria.
28-Mar-2024 - The African Development Bank Group, on 28 March 2024, announces the conclusion of a negotiated settlement agreement with China Henan International Cooperation Group Company Limited, thus putting an end to sanctions proceedings for a fraudulent practice against China Henan International Cooperation Group Company Limited. Pursuant to the negotiated settlement agreement, China Henan International Cooperation Group Company Limited, registered in China, will be debarred for a period of 12 months, effective 28 March 2024.
