16-Oct-2018 - The African Legal Support Facility (ALSF) has launched a flagship initiative, the “ALSF Academy Project." Under this initiative, the ALSF has developed a three-level capacity building and certification program. This program will be conducted through an interactive online portal, starting with an inception phase consisting of a series of in-person workshops. It is an innovative tool that will efficiently produce, collect and disseminate knowledge, as well as provide tailor-made training solutions for African lawyers and professionals.
16-Oct-2018 - The Gender, Women and Civil Society Department (AHGC) hosted a two day workshop from 8-9 October 2018 in Abidjan, Côte d’ivoire with a delegation from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). This workshop was a promising first step to exchange knowledge, ideas and expertise on how to respond in a timely and judicious manner to the needs and priorities of the population – particularly women and girls – in transition countries in Africa.
