23/02/2018 - The African Development Bank and the Gabonese National Agency for Numerical Infrastructure and Frequency (ANINF) have signed agreements a feasibility study for the country's component of the Central African Backbone (CAB) project. The project is an integrated, innovative and transformative infrastructure which consist of completing the 901.8 km fiber optic connectivity to cover 14 missing links on the Gabonese national backbone.

The African Development Bank (AfDB) is partnering with the Nigerian government, the African Union Commission (AUC), and the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) Agency to co-host the third ICAO World Aviation Forum from November 20-22 in Abuja, Nigeria.
17/11/2017 - African Ambassadors accredited to the African Union (AU) met at the AU Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on Friday, November 17, 2017 for a consultative meeting on resource mobilization for the Special Fund of the New Partnership for Africa’s Development responsible for Infrastructure Project Preparation (NEPAD-IPPF).
19/10/2017 - La Banque africaine de développement (BAD), à travers la Facilité africaine de l’eau (FAE) et le Mécanisme de financement de la préparation de projets d’infrastructures du NEPAD (IPPF-NEPAD), deux fonds spéciaux multi-donateurs qu’elle héberge et administre, a approuvé le décaissement de 2 098 593 d’euros au profit de la Communauté économique des Etats de l’Afrique centrale (CEEAC), le 11 août 2017.
24/07/2017 - The NEPAD Infrastructure Project Preparation Facility (NEPAD-IPPF) has advocated the establishment of a regional information hub to advertise bankable projects in Africa.
07/07/2017 - Donors from Canada, Germany, UK and Spain have called on other countries to join them in increasing financial contributions to support infrastructure project preparation in Africa so as to accelerate Africa’s transformation and increased socio-economic development through enhanced infrastructure connectivity. They observed that Africa’s regional integration efforts were being undermined by inadequate infrastructure and that this in turn, was due to the lack of bankable infrastructure projects in energy, transport, ICT and water and sanitation which could attract financing for implementation.
22/03/2017 - The New Partnership for Africa’s Development Infrastructure Project Preparation Facility (NEPAD-IPPF) hosted by the African Development Bank (AfDB) held discussions with the Infrastructure Project Preparation and Development Unit (PPDU) of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) based in Lomé, Togo, with a view to strengthening collaboration on the preparation of regional infrastructure projects in West Africa.
07/03/2017 - The NEPAD-IPPF (Infrastructure Project Preparation Facility) has approved US $3.88 million in grants to the Governments of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Mozambique and Zambia to finance completion of regional projects preparations.
14/02/2017 - The African Water Facility (AWF) and NEPAD Infrastructure Project Preparation Facility (NEPAD-IPPF) signed on January 31, 2017 in Pretoria, South Africa, a letter of agreement with the Orange Senqu River Basin Commission (ORASECOM) to launch the Climate Resilient Water Resources Investment Strategy and Multipurpose Project Preparation for the Orange-Senqu River Basin, shared by Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia and South Africa. The co-financed project, amounting to about €3.5 million, includes contributions from AWF of about €2 million and $1.2 million from NEPAD-IPPF.
