28/01/2019 - De jour comme de nuit, les transporteurs et chauffeurs routiers peuvent désormais franchir la frontière et parcourir les 975 kilomètres du tronçon Lomé-Ouagadougou en moins de trois jours. Depuis que la route a fini d’être réhabilitée, en octobre 2017 après cinq ans de travaux, leur trajet est devenu beaucoup moins éreintant, moins risqué et plus rapide.

30/10/2018 - Tanzania’s alternative learning and skills development centers were constructed with African Development Fund (ADF) loan and grant totaling US$32.7 million. Designed to fill the gaps in non-formal education in Zanzibar, specifically on the islands of Unguja and Pemba, the project also financed equipment purchase and development of teachers’ manuals.
25/10/2018 - The African Development Fund, the concessional arm of the African Development Bank, extended loans of US$107 million to the Republic of Kenya and US$88 million to the United Republic of Tanzania to build a modern and more efficient “One Stop Border Post”. The financing also covered the construction of a 240-km road from Arusha through Namanga to Athi River, near Nairobi.
25/10/2018 - Through the African Development Fund’s recent envelope of financial instruments, Malawi has received US$14 million for scholarships and infrastructure for its Higher Education, Science and Technology (HEST) program. The assistance will boost job creation and employment in the southern African nation. It also aligns with Malawi’s development goals.

28/11/2016 - On November 28 and 29, 2016, the third and final replenishment meeting for the 14th replenishment of the African Development Fund (ADF-14) is taking place in Luxembourg, following two previous meetings held in Abidjan in March and June 2016. This is the opportunity for donors to the Fund to mobilize the resources that will support development projects financed by the ADF from 2017 to 2019, as part of the African Development Bank Group’s Ten Year Strategy. Several of the Fund’s recipient countries will also be present along with observers from peer institutions.
23/11/2016 - Heriniaina, or “Life Force” in Malagasy, confidently stands on her land in Tanandava. She has made the most of her plot, saving enough money to acquire an additional hectare of land and a tractor worth 3,000 euros. The tractor has enabled her to double her harvest. Heriniaina, a member of a local women’s association, is miles ahead of many other local farmers, who still use zebus to cultivate their land. She also rents her tractor to increase her earnings. “My life has changed,” she says.
