The African Development Bank has decided to jump in and support Abdoulaye, who has for the past five years self-financed her animal feed company Salma, which employs 10 people.

12/02/2019 - The African Development Bank and UN Women held their fourth steering committee meeting on 8 February 2019 in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire. The two institutions signed a memorandum of understanding in March 2016 and have since then implemented a joint roadmap to advance gender equality on the African continent. This steering committee meeting aimed to review progress and define next steps in the partnership.

02/09/2016 - The Office of the Special the African Development Bank (AfDB's) Envoy on Gender (SEOG) in collaboration with the Agriculture and Agro-Industry Department (OSAN) and under the leadership of the AfDB Senior Vice President, Frannie Leautier, is convening a EWA-AFAWA Technical Session on 2-3 September to forge and reinforce partnership between the EWA and AFAWA Initiatives in order to coordinate action on the economic empowerment of women in the agriculture value chain Africa through specifically identifying a Road Map for joint initiatives and operations.
