Tunis, 2 October 2007 – Delegates at a two-day conference on Mobilizing Aid for Trade: Focus on Africa, concluded deliberations in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on Tuesday with a call on African countries to put trade and related issues on the front burner of their national development plans.

A regional workshop on Gross Domestic Product (GDP) breakdown organized by the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group’s statistics department recently took place in Dakar, Senegal. Chaired by the country’s Minister of the Economy and Finance, Abdoulaye Diop, the workshop, which brought together national accounting experts from across the region, was held within the framework of the International Comparison Program for Africa.

Focus on Regional Integration and Technical Assistance
Tunis, 13 July 2007 – The President of the African Development Bank Group (ADB) will be on a two-day official visit to Tripoli, Libya, starting 15 July 2007.
During this visit, the first by an ADB President for fifteen years, Mr. Kaberuka will have a series of discussions with the country’s highest authorities.
